A Week of Thanks Day 1: Trials
Sunday, November 24, 2019
Hello! As today is a splendid Sunday, it will be the kickoff to the "A Week of Thanks" 2019 on my blog. Reflecting on this past year is not a task that I have even begun to scratch the surface of. With everything that went on, I know that it would be therapeutic and beneficial to me to do so. Thus, I'm very excited to reflect with you all!
Let's begin with thanking God for the trials.
While I can not go into every detail of every trial that was presented to me, I want to generally speak on this topic because it is a universal experience and I know that I am not alone. The biggest thing that I would like for you all to take away from this is that, in everything, give God thanks and cling to His promise over your life. Know that when you are going through something, that God is guiding you through.
There will be situations that seem like circumstances of mishap or failure. What you must remember, is to Whom you belong. You do not belong to the world and so, the devil has not been given authority in any area of your life. If it is the name of Jesus Christ that you are calling on, trust and believe that it is the name of Jesus Christ that is working on your behalf. This can be difficult to remember in periods when it seems like the occurrences going on in your life are the exact opposite of your prayers. Does it make sense for the creation to question the creator? Will the book tell the author how to compose it? No. That is not how it works. The creator and author knows how all of the pieces will fit together. It sees and knows things that the product can never see and know. Know that the Creator and Author of your life is in full control and the destiny that He has planned for your life is good.
Today, I celebrate the trials I've faced this year. I am more in love with myself, less tolerant of negativity, and growing more and more each day. I wasn't broken. Rather, I was built up. That? That's God.
